After the long holiday weekend, it was back to work on the house on Tuesday. Lots of details have been coming together and slowly, but surely - every idea that I have pinned on Pinterest or houzz is starting to look like the pictures, but in our house. Since I am my own designer, I am thankful for all the online resources. I think it is also starting to feel more real because we listed our townhouse on Wednesday mid-day - which has been insane. We have had so many showings and last night got an offer. This really is a crazy market! It will be a huge relief when the townhouse is under contract and we are officially packing boxes to move.
On Tuesday, they started on the stair railings....
By the end of the day Tuesday, one side was done:
And the top:
Per code, we needed a railing on the other side... So this was added... the stairs looks nice:
Picture from the landing in the middle of stairs and you can see above and below:
The shower in our master bathroom is almost complete (except for slab on top pf bench).... Not sure the pics do it justice, But it looks amazing! As Brian said, it is magazine quality:
Close up of shower floor:
Master closet pics...which are actually quite hard to take, this was an origibal closet with the slope of roof, so we kept it open and made the whole area - shoe racks... I am certain these will quickly be full... And I guess storage for other stuff, but as far as I am concerned, my new closet has a shoe room... Dream come true:Shelving and hanging space pics...
Railing in my desk/nook area is up...
Which means I can actually safely go and take a picture of my desk and shelves... I am very excited about this space!
Here was right before they put up banister and railings... Hence why I didn't go in area much:
One of my favorite spaces in the house is the mud room... Brick floors, built- ins, it is perfect:Lockers on one side...
Doesn't photograph well, but the back of lockers are bead board - I love it:
They also started on the craft desk/ wrapping paper station on other:
Think those are all the recent updates... Still over 10 days until the cabinets are ready to be finished, so we will see what they work on between now and then.
