Ch-ch-changes!!!

Sorry for the lack of updates in the past few days... the crew was off for the weekend, so after I last updated there were not tons of pictures or updates. Then on Monday, Brian was super tied up with work and didn't make it to the house -- crazy right! And then, I think I just got busy with a lot of work (and/or E) stuff....so NOW - I am finally getting caught up on the blog! I have also been working on selecting appliances and some of the other things we are going to have to start ordering. Lots of big decisions to make. Any recommendations are gladly accepted!

In any case, sorry for the delays and lack of posts, promise to not have it happen again. There have been a lot of changes over at the house - rough plumbing is in and we PASSED our plumbing inspection -- Woo Hoo! I believe electrical is in (or being worked on)... and there is a lot being done to the outside back of the house. I believe most of the framing is complete and we are still waiting on the delivery of the windows. For the sun room and work shop our builder had some spare windows he was looking to unload, so we went with those... as such, they are the first windows in the house. Here are some pics from this weeks progress:

New windows and walls inside of the sunroom, it used to have only screens and unfortunately, most of them were all messed up... we now have a wall of windows that looks out to the side of the house. This room is not under a/c, but will be a great "play space" for little E! I cannot wait to do something creative and fun with this space... for now here is what it looks like:
And here is the view from the outside, they have pulled down all the old siding and rotted out wood on the sun room:
The back of the house which is being prepared for the siding to go up:
The front of the house has also taken on a different look with all the windows removed. With the windows and siding down, the window areas are covered with plywood, cannot wait for the new windows and see what they will look like installed... in the right side of the picture you can also see the bobcat that arrived at the house:
Here is what the bobcat was doing.... getting rid of all the pavers and concrete in the courtyard.... while we will still have courtyard... this space was one that was causing a lot of issues in the house. It was built up too high and the slant of it meant everything was draining toward the center of the house. We are keeping a small bit of concrete under the balcony, but the rest will be our "green" space. The way the house was designed it utilizes majority of the property for the house - BUT between some green space, the LONG narrow driveway for bikes and such and the sunroom.... I think E will be able to enjoy playing outside!
More courtyard progress:
And here is the muddy mess that is left behind... of course we had some rain this week - which has only created a HUGE mess (according to Brian) from the mud pit. Anyone up for some mud wrestling!?

I cannot wait to get to the house this weekend -- it has been a week since I have been over there... promise for updates as I get them! Have a wonderful Friday!
