Not a lot of Updates to Update

Unfortunately, my lack of posting is not because I have been busy... Which I have, but never too busy for a brief blog update. However, the last few weeks have basically been at a stand still. The cabinets were supposed to be finished last week, but that still is not the case.  :/ 

Hopefully this week the marble/ granite will be installed and painting will begin... And plumbing fixtures and everything else that is still outstanding (hard wood staining, carpet, light fixtures, punch list, etc.) 

Our townhouse is under contract and luckily we have a lease back through July 22nd... But we are not even sure we will be in by then - ugh. We were supposed to be in by E's second birthday - which is Friday. Obviously, we will not be moving then.

I am so ready!!!

Not many, but here are a few things that have happened.

I also found a new light fixture for the entry opening... Sort of hard to see in these pictures, but I walked into a store, saw it and immediately knew it was perfect for the house, so I called the lighting store where I had ordered original from and luckily, they let me return since we haven't yet picked up -- I forgot to take a picture before we purchased and now wrapped up, but here are 2 pics of it:

Finally today we went to scope out some pieces of furniture at Restoration Hardware... As we were getting ready to leave, we rode down the elevator with one of the managers, who began to help us and offer some really great advice, and then introduced us to the senior designer... He was so helpful and offered so many great ideas.  I was so appreciative and cannot wait to slowly furnish our home with his ideas!!!
