Late last week the electrician started to put the lights and electrical outlets in throughout the house and most of it was finished up today. Majority of the cans or the part for the wall mount/ceiling fan/pendant lights are in throughout the house now and there are also outlets all over the house.
The framers have been busy working on the awning on the front of the house - which has completely changed the look of the elevation of the house. Now, Brian doesn't have to be worried that if it is raining, when you come to visit us - you will get soaking wet while waiting to come into the house. Today, they added the bracings to the side of it and I have to say - it looks really good.
They have also started replacing the brick where we didn't replace the windows and in places where there were issues with the brick. Our contractor was able to locate at a salvage yard the exact brick that was used on the house... the bricks all are stamped with "Houston" and somehow - he found an exact match. Cannot wait to see what the brick will look like when it is all cleaned up.
And now... some recent pics (since that is likely what you really visit the blog to see).

Cans in our room... excuse the blury photo, I was busy chasing E down as she made her way throughout the house:

Once again - so pleased with the progress that continues to be made at the house. Love seeing everything as it continues to take shape and turn into a reality. HVAC, roofing, electrical... lots to be done this week. Will keep you posted on the progress as photo-worthy things happen!
