Slowly, but surely!

We are slowly getting settled in the house. Rooms are starting to take shape and it is starting to feel like home. Still too much of a mess in most places to share pics, but here are a few:

Kitchen is almost done - though as things get brought in, they seem to land in the kitchen and it becomes a mess again.

I even made pancakes on Saturday morning... Banana chocolate chip:

Master bedroom - eventually we will get new furniture, but for now - it works... Still some boxes to unpack. :/ 

We also got our shower doors, so now we can use our shower:

Guest bedroom is... Well no more boxes (besides our mirrors) so progress - no furniture yet in here :

As rooms get finished - I will post, but still feel like everything is sort of every where and the house is a mess! Slowly, but surely it will all get done!!

We have a certificate to occupy...

Well - we are in... This is our home:

And we passed the final inspection and now have our occupancy permit.  We are all exhausted, but very happy!!! Boxes and stuff is every where, but it feels good to call it home, although E keeps asking to go home and we have to explain that this is home. :/ Hopefully in a few days she will really be settled and back on a schedule.

Moving has been a huge process, but even bigger is finding a place to put everything and get rid of boxes (and crap)!!

On Saturday we loaded up a uhaul and took boxes and stuff over before the movers...

E's Papa (my dad) took her for the day and they had lots of fun... Golfing, eating at the club house and biking:

Sunday we were back at it, but also busy finishing packing up our old house and Monday the movers came to get (most) everything else. The movers came an hour early, so I had to get E out of the house because she was super confused by everything.  Donuts always make everything better!!

She and our nanny then went to play and when she got home to the new house for nap time her new room was ready to go:

Over the course of the last few days we have been busy making the house our home... Still a long ways to go, but a few rooms are done.

And the biggest room we ALL tackled (thanks to the help of my mom and aunt) we got it almost all the way done:

Kitchen is Open for business

Another day done and more progress made at the house - still details to take care of, but the last major piece arrived today...kitchen appliances!!!

Didn't take many pics today, as I was busy unpacking some stuff, but here are a few.

Knobs and Other Details...

The small things are getting done, which means we are closer to being able to move in. Tomorrow the move begins- just over 18 mos. after we bought the house.  

The upstairs is pretty close to finished and slowly we will start moving stuff in tomorrow, with lots being done on Saturday. Eeeeek!!

There are a few outstanding items which won't be done by time we move in... Mirrors, being the big one -- and some other things too.
